These videos were brought to you by Lena Khan. She raised money from her family, friends and community to make these, in hopes that you will watch them and vote smarter on November 4.

These commercials are not official commercials of the Obama campaign, nor are they affiliated with any non-profit or political organization. So if you are looking for who you should throw stones at (or big, giant cookies), here are the usual suspects:

Lena Khan, writer and director, is a 24-year-old independent filmmaker who lives in an LA apartment with seven girls and two bedrooms so that she can make videos likes this. Lena has dedicated her career to making films about our most salient social issues. Hire her. She's nice.

You can email her at votesmarter (at) gmail (dot) com.

Neal Mhaskar, cinematographer, is a director and cinematographer who doesn't have to share his apartment with anybody. But that's because he's crazy talented. Check out his web site.

Pedro Azevedo, Assistant Director, is a documentary filmmaker and Boston University graduate. During the week he works at a Los Angeles based documentary production company producing shows that air on History and Discovery Channel. On weekends he puts his blood, sweat, and tears into independent projects like this one.

Skip Pipo (John McCain) is an accomplished actor in Los Angeles. If you want to know what acting is, try talking to Skip in real life. He is absolutely nothing like the character in these commercials.

Dylan Mooney (Barack Obama) is a dedicated actor who works night and day on every part he is given. He takes his work so seriously that the motto of his career is tattooed on his arm: "Truly Ambitious."

Karuna Karmarkar is the one who got Lena to eat raw fish for the first time. She's nuts, but her work is impeccable. Karuna is a photographer and production designer. Go to her web site.

Jamie Hoang is a production designer who has worked on numerous films. She makes $1,000 look like $2 million. Check out her work.

Zerina Usmen is one of the stars of USC Film School. She directs and writes and does sound design and if you wanted, she could probably teach you sumo wrestling.

Mohammad Mertaban did the wardrobes for this film. He is the most helpful person Lena has ever met, and has helped or been in every film she has ever done. He is also a talented photographer.

Michael Mosher is a makeup artist. He does makeup and makes rubbermonsters and fake tattoos. Check out his portfolio .

Meleika Gardner, Casting Director, did the casting. She found just what the project needed at a time when most casting directors were saying that two months before the election, finding these actors would be impossible.

Sofia Khan is a young filmmaker entering film school next year. Watch out for her in a few years...
